Nice article, thanks for sharing. But I don’t think the Chinese authorities are ready to approve a foreign host of the stature of Godaddy, unless it accepts to abide by the Chinese laws in terms of hosted contents, monitoring etc.

Nice blog. We are a foreign hosting in China as well and if Godaddy is to make a dent on the market, they will need to offer hosting on Chinese servers as well, and not only rely on their US servers.

I think that while Apple is a great company and has great influence, I don’t think that it will rule the new internet, as you put it. They currently have a minimal internet presence compared to many other large tech companies. Google has its hand in many different internet services, while Apple only has a handful. Even Microsoft has much more internet services than Apple. Apple will be more of a hardware and software company and work with the products and services of other companies such as google, microsoft, etc.
